We started our Christmas out in Wenatchee. We decorated a tree and placed a few presents under it. The kids had fun putting up their ornaments. They have each received a new ornament each year for the past several years anyway, so its fun to pull out their ornaments and think of the memories. 

This was the first year that Avery was able to somewhat understand the decorating process so it was fun to see her participate.

 

 Lani had a Nativity program at her preschool. She was give the part of the angel. She did great and had a lot of fun. It was very cute to see the kids act out the nativity. They are full of so much energy. The program was around the same time as Dayna's play so Janelle thought it would be a good idea to bring her flowers just like Dayna got after her performances. Lani loved them of course.

Each year the kids get a new set of Christmas PJ's that are matching. Janelle does a good job of tracking them down online. This year they were elves and the kids wore their PJs to school one day for pajama day. They also found the old elf ear hats to complete the look.

Lani thought that she was pretty funny when she found Papi's Santa hat and beard. She is a bit of a clown.

Christmas time is a great timer to spend with family. The kids were spoiled again this year with separate events at 3-4 locations. They got to spend time with all of their cousins, here they are at Jen and Erics with the Tremblay crew.

Christmas morning Santa came to Grammy and Papi's house. The kids opened the presents and emptied their stockings there.

The party moved on to Grandma and Grandpa Dickson's house. There we found more presents and more cousins. This was the first time all of the grandkids had been together, it was a lot of fun to see everyone. Grandpa started off with the Christmas story to help remind the kids of the true meaning of Christmas.

It was a bit chilly but not too chilly to contain these kids in doors for any extended period of time. Uncle Jer came up with his version of the hay ride. All of the grandkids fit in the trailer and none of them fell out. That makes for a successful hay ride in my book.

 It is great to see family, but it is truly special to see multiple generations under one roof. The kids had the chance to spend time with their Great Grandma and Grandpa Munger and Dicksons on our trip. It is amazing and humbling to think about what our grandparents have seen and lived through and the amount of experience that they have to share. They lived without things that are now accepted as necessities. They are great examples to all of us.
