I am attempting to go back in time as I try to connect our last Texas post to our first experiences here in Wenatchee WA. Here are some videos from a few weeks ago. Our friends the Warners invited us and some other friends to join them for a swim in Nick's grandpa's indoor pool. There was snow outside, it felt a little strange to be pulling up to the house in swimming suits and walking through the cold.
The water was warm but not that warm. It was probably around 70 degrees and the indoor temp was not very warm at first either. So the kids were a little reluctant to jump in, but when you put kids in swimming suits indoors with a small body of water it is almost impossible for them to resist the temptation to jump in and have fun. Then you add a few crazy dads to the mix and its a recipe for a good chlorinated time. Nick is helping get the house ready to sell so it has an extra high concentration of chlorine, it burned the nostrils and the eyes a bit but pain is temporary and pool fun is forever.
Dax had a lot of fun getting tossed around the pool, he enjoys a little or a lot of rough housing. Dayna got cold pretty quick but had a lot of fun going down the slide. Lani and Avery are getting more and more brave, each went down the slide ONCE with me, when asked if they wanted to go again, they both politely declined. It was a great evening, it made you think that life with an indoor pool wouldn't be so bad until Nick told me how much they had invested in it to get it back up and running and then the continued up keep. Yikes, no thanks. We will start with getting the kids a bath tub again someday and go from there.
