last weeks email

Aloha everyone, the weeks keep flying by. Now that I've been given a day off they seem to go even faster. Thats right I've been given a day off, I didn't request it but they said "you'll be so tired from working 4 days that you'll need a day to rest and get things done at the house." So for now I have Thursdays off, I'd rather be working and making money on Thursdays at least for now, although it does allow me to work on my golf game which is nice.

This was Dayna's first official week of school, she is getting so big its kind of scary. We live a block from the school so Janelle walks with the kids to drop her off and pick her up. She has around 26 kids in her class and there are 4 Kindergarden classes at her school. I think it has been as big of a change for Dax not having his sister around as it is for Dayna starting school. Dax will be starting a co-op preschool with around four other kids. The moms will rotate teaching in their homes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Dayna did a similar thing in Louisville so he is excited about that.

Yesterday the kids had a birthday party for Megan a five year old girl from church. They had the party at a nearby park and they had a waterballoon fight.

Later we went out for a bike ride with the kids along the riverwalk here in Farmington. It runs along the Animas river. The river looks really muddy compared to what it looked like in the begining of the summer. We didn't tell the kids where we were going when we loaded them up, we just told them it was a surprise.

Well we went for the bike ride and ended up riding up to a small splash park, the kids dressed in their normal clothes got to get in the water and play without having a dry set of clothes to change in to or a towel to dry off with. So it ended up being a surprise for all of us. The kids were having so much fun and it was pretty warm out, so we really didn't care even Alana really liked crawling through the fountains as they spouted water randomly into the air. We happened to have towels in the car, but they had to ride their bikes in their wet clothes about 1/3 mile to get back to the car. That sums up our fun from this weekend.
We're excited for the start of another week and we hope this email finds you all in good spirits and health. Thanks for the love and support you all give us, and know that we love and appreciate all of you.
