Does this thing work?

after much nagging and complaining from some of my friends left behind i will attempt to be better at blogging. that is how much i love you!! so jon sends out emails of our everyday life and this is a sample of his email that he sent last week. sorry if you think it is cheating =)

Hello everyone! We hope you're all doing well. Here in Farmington we're just recovering from another busy week and preparing for a nice short week and a fun long weekend! This week Dayna got the news that her school will be adding a new kindergarden teacher and thus a new kindergarden class. They will be randomly drawing kids names out of the existing three classes to make the fourth. Its kind of bitter sweet, nice that the class sizes will be smaller but not so nice that the kids have already made friends in their existing classes and have learned to trust their teachers too. I bought some kids golf clubs on ebay this week with the hopes of the kids being better then I am at the sport. I try to get out about once a week or so and I have a lot of fun. The nice thing is I can get one set because Dax and Dayna are basically the same size and can share.

This last Monday we had some people over for family home evening. We had some burgers and played some corn hole (the game that looks like a bean bag toss but the bags are full of corn feed). Dayna took a pretty good fall while we were playing and got a fat lip, she hates it when people laugh at her, but it was hard not to. Her lip was fine a day or so afterwards and I don't think the emotional scars are too deep.

Dax had a pretty bad asthma flare up this week. He coughed until he vomited a couple times one day this week before we really started hittting him with his medicine, so he's doing better now, he still coughs but not as much as he was.

Yesterday the weather wasn't the best early in the day, we ran some errands and picked up some masks for the kids to paint as something to do while it was raining. Of course Dax wanted a Spiderman one and Dayna wanted to do hers from her "imagination". The white paint you see on the masks glows in the dark. Dayna did a really good job, and Dax did good too, he painted most of the red on the mask and I put the webs on it.

The other day we were watching Americas Funniest Home Videos and they showed a clip of a kid that climbed the walls in the hall of their home, Dayna then proceeded to walk down our hall and start climbing the walls, it looks pretty funny. Dax of course wanted to try but he's not quite long enough to reach both sides with his feet so he figured out a different way to climb the wall.

Yesterday afternoon the sun came out and we met with a handful of other couples at a park and the kids rode their bikes and played on the playground while the adults played corn hole. It was a lot of fun.
Today we had a special conference Elder Gonzalez of the Presidency of the Seventy spoke, it was good, we got done early with church and we've been lounging ever since. This weekend we look forward to meeting up with my mom, dad , and brothers at the BYU vs. UW football game in Provo UT. It will be a really fun weekend and really nice to see everyone and hopefully play some golf. Well that does it for us, love to all of you and have a great week. Don't forget to count your many blessings!
