Memorial Day Weekend
River Fun! Our first time out in the kayaks and on the paddle board this year. We met up with the Warners, the kids played taxi on the board and in the kayak. They had a lot of fun, the weather was perfect and only our friend Nick and his daughter Ruby got to really test the water. Avery enjoyed going out in the kayak and on the board but I think she really enjoyed throwing rocks the best. It is a must whenever we go to the river.
Stemilt Outlet for Ice cream!
After finishing up at the river and a quick trip to Wendy's we headed over to the Stemelt Outlet for some ice cream. The kids loved the big scoops, especially my cone. It was a great way to end the first half of our day.
Lani is full of sassiness! I see her mother in her a lot. She is quick to strike a pose as always!
Cousins!
Jer, Mirian and the boys made a quick visit this weekend. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the little backyard that we had. They played baseball by tossing whatever small object they could find and then hitting it with a stick. I witness at least one object fly over the fence. They said don't worry it was only a little empty bubble bottle. I also say them hitting a zip lock back full of damp grass and Dayna shattered a piece of sidewalk chalk, that was epic!
Mariners Game
We drove down to Buckley late Sunday night and stayed at the Tremblays with the plan of heading out to the M's game on Memorial Day. We got there right before they opened the gates. We went out to right field to watch batting practice. I thought that the girls looked far too cute not to use that to our advantage and get these kids a ball. I sent Janelle down to the fence line to start harassing the players for a ball. Of course her mission was a success and she scored a practice ball for the family. The kids got to meet the Moose and play on the playground. It was an afternoon full of pizza, nachos, garlic fries, pop, more pop, cotton candy and ice-cream and more pop. Needless to say that they all crashed in the back of the car on the way home and I have grounded a few complaints about upset stomachs in our attempts to get them into bed.
Jer and Mirian and the boys were in the section next to us with some of their friends that were visiting, so the cousins got to hang out a little longer. It was a great weekend, full of excitement and fun. Lots of memories. It was fun to see the kids at their first big league game. They were soaking it all in. Dax was singing take me out to the ball game tonight in bed, and he has set out his M's attire to wear tomorrow to school. Good times!
