Hello everyone! Well a lot has happened since the last time I had a chance to write. We've seen some of you since then. We had our trip to Arizona for the Mariners spring training game last weekend. It was a lot of fun. The weather was perfect the house we stayed in was awesome and of course the company was great. We arrived in AZ late Thurs. night, Friday the guys went golfing, it's always fun to be out on the course with family. It wasn't any of our best showings but the weather was excellent and the old timers starting their tournament right behind never caught up with us, so it was a success.
We also went to visit Grandma and Grandpa at their place on Friday, it was fun to see them. Dayna continues her dominance in the rib counting game. Grandpa could not crack her for the second time in her short rib counting career. She is 2 and 0, really it should be 3 and 0, but when she didn't laugh the first time Grandpa said it was just practice
Friday night we went to a pizza place with a live organist that rises out of the floor of the restaurant and plays requests using the organ and a room full of other noise making props. It was lots of fun, Lincoln especially loved the dancing cats that appeared on occasion and then disappeared much to his dismay. The kids loved playing with cousin Lincoln, auntie April and uncle Kyle, I mean Dave (Dax called Dave, Kyle once so of course he was quick to jump to conclusions that Kyle is the coolest uncle) and of course they couldn't get enough of playing with Grandma and Grandpa. The kids had a great water fight with Grandpa, he didn't stand a chance
Saturday we went to the Mariners game, the kids did well, it was a long time to be sitting and watching a game they don't quite understand yet but we had fun, they ended up losing in extra innings. Saturday night we had a BBQ at the house we were renting, great Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner as well as Joe and Lina Randall with their son Titan, they are some old high school friends of mine. It was fun catching up with them. Well that sums up our AZ trip in a nut shell, it was a lot of fun, and the kids made some great memories.
Yesterday we took the kids to the zoo, we purchased our year pass, so we'll be heading over there more and more now. It was a good day to see some of the animals up and moving. There was a polar bear that was in the water and he would throw a little piece of wood up at the spectators, it was very impressive he would actually launch it like he was shooting a basket, he was so sad when the piece of wood got caught up by the barrier wall/fence. There was also a baby orangutan that was pretty entertaining.
Alana loved feeding the ducks....thankfully none of the kids fell in.
Well thats enough from my crew and I, thanks for reading. We love and miss you guys! Lots more pics to come on the blog!
Love
Jon, Janelle, Dayna, Dax, and Alana
