Hello everyone, I hope you're enjoying this fall season. I'm sure everybody is having a different experience with the different locations people are living in. Here it is dry and cold but it has been heating up from the high 20's into the high 50's this week. Dayna had her thanksgiving lunch at school, it went well and Janelle said the food was actually pretty good. She continues to get better and better with her reading and spelling. She likes school a lot. Janelle goes and reads to the class one by one every week. She enjoys meeting the kids that Dayna is always talking about. She was reading with a little boy that said that he doesn't have any books at home to read with his parents, Janelle checked with the teacher and got the OK to bring in some of our books to send home with the boy. Of course our kids haven't missed whatever books she gave him. They love reading stories, especially Dayna. They have a lot of books so it's nice for them to share them with others who need them too. Dax has been doing well in preschool. This last week Janelle had the class at our house, she was in charge of the lessons. She did a lot of fun crafts with the kids and worked on the letter F. Dax has a fun time wrestling with the other boys Xander and Jerome. When ever they see eachother it's an instant stand off and then struggle to the floor. It's pretty funny. Alana this week had a not so fun trip to the doctors. She plays this game where she walks around in circles holding Janelle's hand, she then falls backwards and Janelle has to hold her up by her hands. Well this time Alana fell back and Janelle spun her by her one arm and Alana was hurt. We thought oh maybe she's just tired that's why she keeps crying, then I thought maybe she's teething or constipated. We were wrong on all accounts. She couldn't pick up her left arm to grab or hold anything. Anytime she tried to move it she would wimper and start crying. She couldn't sleep at all because she couldn't get comfortable. Well the next morning Janelle took her into the doctors office and he popped her elbow back in. He said it is pretty common and she'll probably have issues with it a few more times while she is little. Needless to say Janelle felt horrible that night. I'm sure she lost more sleep over it then any of us. She had to hold Alana so she could get comfortable enough to sleep. So they both had a nice nap after they came back from the doctors. Alana was pretty upset with the doctor right after he popped her elbow back in, but was quick to forgive when she realized she could use her left arm again
Yesterday I spent a couple of hours with the kids raking up leaves. They keep saying that we are going to get snow soon, so we better get the leaves off the grass before it comes. It was a lot different raking leaves here compared to other places we've lived. The leaves were so dry and crisp, it was kind of easy. Dayna and Dax helped me the whole time. They had a lot of fun, we worked hard and played hard.

We made big piles leaves including one by the hot tub, where they would be able to jump into the leaves. They didn't want to stop working or playing, so we loaded all of the piles into the wheel barrel and moved the leaves to the side of the house in one big pile.

The kids loaded each wheel barrel all by themselves, knowing they had to earn their ride on top of the leaves in the wheel barrel, to the big pile along side the house. The kids did a great job, even Alana came out to join the fun. She didn't like the leaves as much as her brother and sister but she had some fun too

After we were all done we had to clean ourselves off, so I had the great idea of blowing the leaves off with the shopvac in reverse. Again the fun continued, everyone took their turn getting their leaves blown off, of course the vaccuum made its way up shirts and down pants to see their shirts and pants inflate like balloons

Later in the day we had our friends the Shepherds over to watch the BYU vs. New Mexico football game. It was a good game, Byu continues to win and NM continues to look pathetic. We had hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, potatoe salad, watermelon, and coconut cream pie. It was quite the event. Well that sums up our adveturres for the week. Hope all is well for all of you, we love and appreciate each of you. Thank You!
